Types of condoms for first time?

yeah so, me and my girlfriend are going to both do it for first time each now and i was wondering, awkwardly wondering that is is there any type of condom i should get? my friend said indirectly about himself that if i was not to get certan types for first time... Im going to be going into aboots store soon and anyone know the most safe ones for first time... ?? :/
